A is for Average: footnotes from chapter 9

62) Here’s the link to The Third Wave. It’s a timeless classic. Toffler is more well-known for his book Future Shock, which he wrote ten years earlier and which is also quite good, and an interesting look at how people thought about the future two generations ago.

63) Here’s the link to The Third Wave: An Entrepreneur's Vision of the Future. I think in very broad terms he makes some pretty good predictions about how technology is permeating and will continue to permeate everyday life.

64) Here’s a link to the basics of Universal Basic Income. We’re not yet at the point where we need to do it, but once we have Artificial General Intelligence, a huge fraction of the jobs are going to disappear in a matter of a few years. UBI would be a small price to pay to avoid the alternatives…

61) Here’s the link to Failure to Disrupt, which I highly recommend if you’re interested in the intersection of technology and education.
